Canadian Banking, Auto Finance and Wealth Risk Management Centers of Expertise (CBAW RM CoE) is committed to providing accurate and timely retail risk quantification solutions supporting the CBAW business lines. The Modeling Implementation Team is part of the Model Management & Analytics (MMA) group within CBAW RM CoE and is responsible for model implementation, ongoing model updates/optimization, and model execution for Canadian and US Retail and Small Business Banking product portfolios. As part of our mandate, we also support regulatory programs such as CCAR, IFRS9, EWST etc.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate seeking to advance their understanding of the Retail Credit Risk area. Reporting to the Model Implementation Manager, this position also works closely with MMA, Retail Model Development (MD), Model Validation (MV), Model Risk Management (MRM), Layer 6 (L6), Loan Lost Analysis and Reporting (LLAR), Line of Business Risk Management teams, and a number of external business partners with the following key accountabilities:
#LI-POST \u00A7 Work closely with the Basel, stress testing and Scorecard Model Development teams to understand models under development and provide subject matter expertise to ensure accurate implementation. Contribute to the maintenance of the ongoing model scoring \u00A7 Work proactively and effectively with the CBAW RM CoE and various technology teams/groups to gather requirements for model implementation Contribute to the development and implementation of new models to support ongoing initiatives related to the Canadian and US Retail portfolios \u00A7 Operationalize models developed by the model development team according to the model implementation framework. \u00A7 Implementation of models within the shared SAS Grid environment following all change management controls. \u00A7 Model execution and monitoring including issue identification, investigation, and resolution. \u00A7 Provide programming support to incorporate the changes resulted from periodic model updates and operational enhancements \u00A7 Collaborate with the Retail Risk Model Development and the Reporting and Analysis teams to perform various impact analysis for new model implementations \u00A7 Create and maintain data lineage documentation based on updates from model implementation Support the Model Implementation Team and MMA management in internal and external audit reviews and compliance attestations
\u00A7 Strong working knowledge and three or more years of extensive hands-on experience using SQL and SAS in the context of data manipulation, data mining, and statistical analysis \u00A7 Working knowledge of UNIX, mainframe environments including dataset manipulation, and job submission \u00A7 Experience working in both operational and project environments \u00A7 Good understanding of job automation and optimization \u00A7 Data Analytics and programming experience, with the Financials/Stats experience as more a nice to have \u00A7 Strong problem-solving skills, ability to independently identify, debug, and solve problems in an effective and timely manner \u00A7 Familiarity with TD's retail business and products \u00A7 Knowledge of Risk Management, BASEL, IFRS9, Scorecards etc. \u00A7 Familiarity with the TD Project Management Life-Cycle (PMLC). \u00A7 Good interpersonal skills and be able to build and maintain productive working relationships with various partners across the Bank \u00A7 Strong written and oral communication skills \u00A7 Ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities while ensuring meeting critical deadlines \u00A7 Experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server databases would be an asset \u00A7 Project management experience would be an asset \u00A7 Knowledge of Regular Expression, Perl, Python, R, JSON, XML, CA7, JCL, REST API's, Confluence, and JIRA would be an asset Understanding of credit risk and other risk management practices.
Education and Accreditation: \u00A7 Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or related fields/experience SAS certification would be considered assets
