The TD Wealth Shared Services (\u0022WSS\u0022) Reporting & Business Insights team is responsible for serving information and analytical needs across Wealth related to sales, performance management and coaching that can be addressed through production of reports and providing value added business/data insights, intelligence, ideas, advice, or support.
The team provides the holistic Pan-Wealth lens towards effective, agile, scalable and efficient reporting and insights services to support the businesses and leaders. The Wealth businesses include Private Wealth Management, Financial Planning, Direct Investing, TD Mutual Funds and Operations.
This is an experienced professional role that requires both strong business leadership at an individual contributor level as well as advanced skills in data visualization using Tableau and ability to connect to, process and query multiple data sources. The role is responsible for providing reporting and business insights to Wealth businesses and contributing to the execution of the team's deliverables and strategies. The role will focus on developing reports and analysis using Tableau and advanced queries and will take an effective ownership of the assigned reporting area and ensure efficient production of Business Line Reporting including Scorecards and Dashboards and generation of value-added business insights and ad-hoc analysis as required to support Wealth partners and initiatives in the area of advisor management within TD Wealth. The role may be expected to support one or more areas within Wealth.
Serve as a primary subject matter expert and a go-to person for the assigned reporting areas including usage of reporting tools (Tableau, Hive, Impala, SAS) and techniques with expertise in all data platforms used within the assigned business area (SAS, Hadoop/Hive, Bitbucket)
Provide specialized end to end reporting support (dashboards, scorecards, data extracts, analysis) and business insights for several business areas such as Private Banking, Wealth Insurance, etc.
Create complex BI reporting packages and dashboards in Tableau utilizing enterprise data infrastructure (EDW, Hadoop) as well as local data sources
Lead efforts for your assigned area to develop, adopt and evolve best-in-class reporting capabilities including moving to common \u0022look and feel\u0022 for reporting packages produced within the team and evolving report automation standards
Review, analyze and understand the data and data sources to ensure that all business requirements are met and that the reporting is comprehensive, efficient and accurate
Initiate and own the work effort to review and validate the quality and integrity of the reporting processes and the data included in the reporting packages while following Department's processes as pertains to business requirements, process mapping, issue logging, business signoffs, etc.
Lead efforts to improve reporting processes within your assigned area with respect to efficiency, accuracy and timeliness
Lead discussion with the business partners for your assigned area on behalf of Wealth Reporting team around next year planning and to understand and execute changes to Scorecards, Dashboards to allow the business to track additional metrics as required
Maintain and regularly review documentation for assigned processes and participate in cross-training to support the team\u2019s succession planning
Comply with all compliance/audit requirements with respect to process documentation and best practices
Continuously enhance own knowledge / expertise in assigned area, grow knowledge of the Private Wealth business and keep current on emerging trends, reporting tools, platforms and technologies including big data and visualization
Act as a leader in contributing to the team in both technical and analytical aspects by sharing and adopting best practices
Develop within the Reporting and Insights team, through:

Completing training/education to ensure high level of technical and functional knowledge
Building and maintaining positive working relationships with internal and external business partners by leveraging established engagement model
Qualifications/Skills/Experience 5-7 years of relevant practical experience successfully working in an analytical or reporting role with advanced tools such as Tableau, SAS, SQL, Hadoop for the purpose of reporting or generating business insights
Demonstrated ability to work with various data sources (enterprise-scale datamarts, Hadoop, local files) and various data types (Excel, SAS, SQL, text, mainframe) to process, query and join the data effectively
Expertise with visualization tools and report automation using Tableau, SQL, SAS or similar sophisticated tools and evidence of successful application in prior work
Familiarity and comfort following the reporting lifecycle processes such as intake, business requirements, process maps, change request, RAID log, user acceptance
Strong analytically-anchored problem solving skills with ability to critically research and evaluate issues and find optimal solutions
Able to effectively interact and influence individuals at different levels of the organization with a strong focus on business partnership
Highly organized and able to prioritize and handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities simultaneously and efficiently
Flexible and adaptable with a positive \u201Ccan-do\u201D attitude who gets excited about taking on new challenges
Energetic and enthusiastic team player, capable of working both independently and as part of a team with high attention to details for accuracy and initiative to follow up items and get things done
Experience with wealth management businesses and various Wealth applications is an assets
University/College education with focus on data visualization, information management, statistics, engineering or equivalent experience.
Advanced Tableau development skills to design high-quality dashboards and performance scorecards are a must
Knowledge of one or more data-focused programming language such as SAS, SQL, Python, R as applied to processing data sets
Advanced skills in querying, joining, manipulating and summarizing datasets of various types
