The Senior Manager role sits within the Advice & Insurance Business Systems team, which exists to provide efficient, effective, expert support to enable advisers and Licensee partners to deliver quality advice to more Australians and manage risk. We do this by ensuring that we listen to the needs of the aligned advice businesses and their advisers, building robust processes to ensure consistent delivery of our services and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement.
The Business Systems team is a group function, which sits within Advice & Insurance team. The our team manages:
Business Governance of technology
Delivery Framework, including a prioritisation process, prioritised scope and forecasted pipeline management tools with frontend functions
Future state vision, Strategy and a clear roadmap with value proposition
Consistent SME input based on user experience to initiatives touching systems within our portfolio
Performance assessment and reporting with a focus on continuous improvement.
As the Senior Manager of Business Systems, you will be supporting governance forums and providing insight into user experience in partnership with Enterprise Services. In this position, you will take a lead role in developing Strategy and technology value proposition. You will lead the organisation in a simplification of legacy assets to improve our ability to respond to change. Provides Business SME advice to Portfolio Managers, leading streams of work and performing the role of Scrum/team Lead.
Establishing and maintaining strong, effective relationships with business stakeholders & delivering effective communication
Define and delivery of supporting change materials enabling effective embedding of technology delivered in partnership with frontline support teams
Develop stakeholder understanding of core platforms and the changes in business processes/behaviours required to maximise leverage of these assets.
Definition and establishment of effective governance framework for Core platforms and other change related projects.
Contribute to the the Advice & Insurance strategy and long-term change roadmap
Manage conflicts, issues and risks effectively through early recognition and visibility to ensure stakeholders appreciate impact on requirements, and orchestrate win-win solutions. Identify and report areas of risk to the business together with remedial action plans.
Act as reference point for stakeholders requiring information about core platforms with a particular focus on aligning investments to achieve maximum return while enhancing and extending their reach.
Provide team leadership and people management including using the Group's people management systems and policies to effectively manage people and complete all required people management activities as directed by the Group or Line Manager
The Ideal candidate will have a strong Advisory background, with extensive experience in leading system change/transformation, governance and leading change projects.
An insurance background is also highly desirable, but not mandatory to your success. We highly encourage candidates that thrive on a changing environment, with an opportunity to make meaningful changes to how our business operates.
