Do work that matters The role of the Advice Design Specialist focuses on managing our Advice Licensee Standards and supporting advisers with their queries. You may also be involved in managing changes in the advice documents.
You will be a member of a team that works in conjunction with other stakeholders to ensure advice process and support outcomes keep the customer and the adviser as the core focus. The position requires a candidate with a strong understanding of advice processes, regulatory/legislative requirements for advice, and previous exposure to working with policies, standards and other support materials which support, inform and guide advisers on how to provide quality advice.
See yourself in our team You will be expected to develop and maintain licensee standards and help advisers with their queries to ensure they comply with the regulatory requirements and provide quality advice to the end clients.
Driving quality advice outcomes by ensuring compliant, practical and effective Licensee Standards and other adviser support materials, the role will involve communicating with advisers, both through regular articles and in 1:1 and group settings to ensure they are aware of changes and understand the practical implications of change.
Additional responsibilities will include:
Developing and maintaining Licensee Standards and Documents for Financial Wisdom licensee within the governance framework of the Licensee Standards as well as that of the Group
Engaging effectively and positively with relevant stakeholders in conducting research, gaining standard agreement and releasing any amendments to the Licensee Standards.
Acquiring and maintaining the required technical knowledge of risk issues and opportunities, compliance, policies, Group standards and other relevant information to ensure the Licensee Standards are in compliance
Identifying trends in the understanding and application of Licensee Standards within the Advice Process and escalating identified and reported trends to relevant parties to determine whether any amendments need to be made to the Licensee Standards
Conducting research, proactively gathering insights and feedback from other areas to inform any changes to the Licensee Standards and Documentation to ensure risk and compliance obligations are balanced with the commercial and customer service objectives of Wealth Risk Management
Liaison with relevant subject matter experts to understand and investigate the impact of Regulatory changes on Licensee Standard for advice
Ensuring continuous improvement, designing & developing with the customer in mind using data, feedback and infield experience
Responding to queries from Advisers in a timely, efficient and accurate manner.
Your skills, experience and qualifications
Previous experience gained in a policy development, compliance or audit role
Experience working in a role which provides exposure to the advice process, specifically at the point of the provision of advice
Degree qualified in a Business related discipline AND have Diploma of Financial Services. Financial Planning giving you RG146 Compliance in the following: Generic Knowledge, Securities, Managed Investments, Life Insurance, Superannuation, Financial Planning and Skills
