The Risk Management is responsible for developing and deploying the Group's risk frameworks to allow the Group to take conscious exposures to credit, market, operational, compliance and insurance risks within a Board-approved appetite. The RBS Risk Management team is a Line 2 Business Unit team supporting the Retail Banking business. This Executive Manager role supports the Consumer Finance and Everyday Banking portfolios and currently leads a team of 4 FTE (plus one graduate).
Do work that matters
Reporting to the General Manager, RBS Operational Risk this role is a key contributor to the RBS Operational Risk strategy. It is pivotal in ensuring that RBS consciously identifies and manages operational risk within risk appetite.
You will have the opportunity to be involved with:
Leading, coaching and motivating a dedicated team of operational risk professionals;
Setting and executing a strategy for delivering the team's responsibilities in relation to the operational risk framework;
Assurance activity over key risk matters, including the closure of significant matters, including audit matters;
Forging and maintaining strong relationships with business, line 1 and audit partners
Advice on appropriateness of risk governance structures within RBS; and
Provision of various operational risk reports and dashboards to leadership teams, risk committees and boards.

Advanced proficiency in Operational Risk
Demonstrated relationship management experience with multiple diverse stakeholders;
Proven leadership ability;
Strong verbal and written communication; and
Demonstrated ability to prioritise, schedule and meet challenging deadlines managing a program of work.
