Business & Private Bank (B&PB) offer a wide range of services and solutions to our corporate, small to medium, enterprise, regional and agribusiness customers. Small Business Banking (SBB) staff identify and manage the delivery of a broad range of financial solutions to its customers, sourced via the Bank's product teams in B&PB, Wealth Management and Retail Banking Services. The objective of Small Business Banking (SBB) is to provide customised products and services for clients with commercial finance and wealth management needs. These clients are defined as having complex financial service requirements, which require frequent face-to-face interactions to manage the complexities of the small and medium enterprises (SME). The SBB customer base are business owners with turnover of up to $20m, and that we support the full range of the business and personal needs.
The Relationship Managers supports the Team Manager to:
Provide premium customer service to Business Banking customers, to help us achieve our goal of being No. 1 in client satisfaction
Identify opportunities and provide solutions to meet the financial needs of our existing customers
To work collaboratively with peers, business partners and stakeholders
Assess risk on new lending, as well as assessing the risks associated with increases in client credit
Assists and assesses the risks which could prevent achievement of the objectives of the role and plans and execute risk mitigating procedures
Conduct non face to face Interviews/Needs Analysis for clients in the business segment
Complete business reviews with customers including updating the Business Review Tool
Assist Retail Banking Services (RBS) and Business and Private Bank (BPB) team members to support the referral of new business opportunities
Work with dedicated specialists as and when required to meet more client needs
Work in collaboration with other business units to ensure achievement of overall CBA goals
Proactively manage risk such as ensuring our data is high quality and we are meeting our compliance obligations
Maintain ongoing knowledge of industry trends, focus area of growth and impacts in the SBB business sector
In all interactions act in line with CBA's purpose and values
Skills and Experience Required:
Demonstrated experience in commercial lending
Effective oral and written communication skills
Strong relationship management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (telephone and email)
Sound financial analysis ability
A good understanding of Business Banking products and systems
Sound time management skills with exceptional Commercial acumen
FSRA Tier 2 Accreditation
Industry related tertiary qualifications (Commerce degree etc.) are an advantage
Minimum CAA Delegation Level 2 (or willing to obtain this level of accreditation)
