We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Communications Officer.
Supporting the HK Communications team on media relations matter under the guidance of the Senior Media Relations Manager, Hong Kong or Country Head of Communications
Working with media and utilises media relationships to deliver coverage for local campaigns that reinforces HSBC's leadership in Hong Kong
Identifies relevant media opportunities in support of key global themes and business priorities
Monitor media coverage and industry news, provide timely news summary to stakeholders
Monitor social media sentiment for adhoc projects
Ensure the media section of the public website and media database is up to date
Help management prepare for presentation, especially for internal communications purposes
Strict adherence to the global Media Relations Governance Policy
Prepare bilingual press releases, internal stories and social media posts that will help bring information to life in a way that will resonate with the audience ensuring alignment to Global Business or Function strategy and priorities
Manage the logistics of media events and employees events
Understands the benefits and drawbacks of different communications channels and identifies and selects which to use and when
Experience in media relations, employee communications and marketing
Ability to produce clear, engaging narrative
Willingness to learn and a team player
Knowledge of the financial service industry and global marketplace advantageous
Proven ability to deal with ambiguity and pressurized situations
Fluent in English and Chinese, both written and verbal
