We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Communications Manager, Hong Kong.
Plan and implement effective bankwide employee communications programmes that support our senior management for Asia Pacific and Hong Kong
Deliver global and local internal campaigns and news, including ensuring important business insight and information is communicated to all employees
Create compelling content and messages using storytelling to engage employees about the progress and priorities of the Bank, aligned to our purpose and strategy at the regional or Hong Kong market level
Support organizational change and business transformation through strategic communications planning and implementation
Source and provide locally relevant stories to feed the local, regional and global channels
Consider the external implications of implementing employee communications campaigns and projects and collaborate with media relations colleague on external messages to mitigate risks.
Responsibilities encompass the full spectrum of employee communications activities managed by the global communications function, in order to help employees understand the banks strategy, influence employees values and behaviour as well as raise employee engagement
Using insight from HSBC's internal measurement to develop and advise on employee communications that address strategic objectives and specific audiences
Source and publish diverse and compelling employee stories from Country, aligned to Global Business and Function strategy and global priority themes
Lead, manage and develop a team of employee communications specialists
Multinational companies and matrix organization background and experience in a communications team, especially internal communication, for a large organization is highly preferred.
Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills in English and Chinese as well as the journalistic ability to source stories from employees
Good interpersonal and relationship building skills in order to work with Communications and global functions, such as Human Resources. Role holder also need to possess the confidence to deal with senior executives and explain communication techniques to them
Creative ability to devise communication strategies
Familiarity with information technology, especially digital and video means of communication, is essential
Team player mentality and strong collaborator who understands the complexity of entertaining multiple audiences and navigating their diverse interests and goals
Self motivated and outgoing characteristics, ability to work independently and lead a small team
