The Credit Risk Management (CRM) unit within the Supervision, Regulation and Credit department: administers the Board of Governors Payment System Risk (PSR) policy governing the use of intraday credit for First District depository institutions (DI); extends overnight credit to First District Dis; manages the credit risk posed by intraday and overnight credit exposure by monitoring the condition of DIs, taking actions to mitigate the risk posed by those that pose heightened risk to the Reserve Bank and/or the financial industry, and ensuring that all extensions of credit are secured to the satisfaction of the Reserve Bank; contributes to the development of Federal Reserve System policy. The CRM group is seeking a student intern to join the team, with a focus on designing and enhancing SharePoint functionality. Candidates must have familiarity with SharePoint, but will work under immediate supervision.
Develop and enhance SharePoint functionality to allow for logical/user-friendly access to documents, promote internal information sharing, facilitate the vetting and tracking of Federal Reserve System and Federal Reserve Bank of Boston policy proposals, and reduce reliance on a shared drive. Conduct and participate in special projects at the request of team leadership. Other Accountabilities: Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Experience:
The candidate must have completed a minimum of two years of undergraduate studies, with progress toward a business related degree preferred (i.e., finance, accounting, economics, legal, business technology-related, etc.). The candidate must be fluent in SharePoint, have strong attention to detail, and be able to multi-task on several ongoing projects. A prior internship is preferred, but not required.
This position requires access to confidential supervisory information, access to which is limited to "Protected Individuals" as defined by regulation of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. Protected Individuals include, but are not limited to, U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and lawful permanent resident aliens (also known as "green card holders") who are eligible for and seeking United States citizenship within the requisite timeframes.
