This role is within Northern Trust's growing UK Fund Accounting team. This team looks after more than 10% of all UK Authorised Funds for numerous Fund Management clients. This role is to work in one of the client focused teams to provide NAV Oversight (initially production) of our offshore locations and service all of the clients' needs relating to the NAV process.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Understanding of fund structures and Fund Accounting
Reconciliations (Cash, Stock, Income, FX and Unit), within a specified time frame.
Review of Corporate actions processed and detailed understanding of corporate actions
Processing and verifying income and expense accruals
Verifying impact of prices on the portfolio and generating NAVs
Identifying exceptions and closing out exceptions. Includes providing detailed documentation around exceptions as required
Preparation of ad-hoc reports & investigation of queries.
Processing distributions and verifying impact on the funds holding the assets
To deliver a quality service to our clients and take the necessary corrective and preventative actions to ensure all KPI deadlines and quality standards are met.
To produce monthly reporting for onward transmission to the Trustees and answering any queries posed within specific timeframes in a prompt and professional manner.

Ability to work within a team.
Ability to work under pressure to achieve the multiple daily deadlines for client deliverables.
Numerical and computer literacy (including spreadsheet skills) - (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook)
Willingness to undertake the IAQ exams would be advantageous.
