The Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance Summer Internship role will provide the intern with an opportunity to gain a stronger understanding of Compliance within the Banking industry. Theyll be part of a diverse team of talented professionals who interact with senior risk team personnel, business managers and other Bank disciplines in order to understand business operations and dynamics, and analyze, monitor, and manage related risks. The primary role of the intern is to support the AML Compliance area in the creation process for design solutions, create specifications and develop effective high quality solutions.
Some responsibilities of the AML Compliance internship role may include but are not limited to:
Provides accurate documentation of account activity and recommends action to be taken.
Researches and analyzes high level customer relationships using all available resources in order to make the appropriate business decision concerning the customer relationship.
Writes clear and concise Suspicious Activity Reports that will be sent to the Federal Government.
Keeps informed of AML regulations and methods to ensure compliance.
Maintains legal and regulatory compliance information.
Ensures compliance by adhering to and following all Company policies, guidelines and protocol.
Detects suspicious trends and activity by monitoring transactions through various systems/applications.
Works on other duties as assigned or requested.
Interacts with branch employees in order to make the appropriate business decisions concerning customer relationships.
Extended working hours may be required as dictated by management and business needs.
Travel to multiple facilities may be required.
May be required to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to twenty (20) pounds.
May be required to sit and review information on a computer screen for long periods of time.
May require repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard.
Corporate / satellite office role.
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at a University or College
Expected graduation date between December 2020 May 2021
