You will be part of the Legal & Compliance team providing legal, regulatory and compliance advisory pertaining to Data Privacy & Governance, Support Units and T&O.
You will assist with the formulation and execution of the Group's Data Privacy and Governance program, working closely with stakeholders to refine these policies, standards, controls and provide advisory on their applicable requirements.
Provide compliance coverage of the Support Units of the Bank and be one of the liaison persons to regulatory agencies on behalf of DBS.
Influence and build strong controls and risk management mindset, assess and implement regulatory requirements.
Stay abreast with related macro environment, regulatory changes and industry developments e.g. privacy, digitization, data usage, analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence etc.
As part of the Group LCS function, to participate in Group initiatives and projects in Singapore and across the network.
You will need to be comfortable with change management and dealing with stakeholders across all levels of seniority
At least 12 years of relevant experience in a financial institution or regulatory environment with strong understanding of banking, financial services products and their end-to-end supporting processes.
Knowledge of Banking Act, Securities and Futures Act, Financial Advisers Act and their related regulations, notices and guidelines; as well as those for the Personal Data Protection Act in Singapore. Familiarity with their equivalent regulations in other jurisdictions in which the Group operates would be an advantage.
Demonstrated ability to engage and communicate with stakeholders of all levels
Meticulous with track record of translating regulatory considerations into practical applications
Team player, with track record of working well in a collaborative environment as well as a demonstrated ability to work independently to deliver on tasks assigned.
