The Treasury and Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) department of TD Bank is responsible for overseeing the management of non-trading market risk, consolidated liquidity risk and consolidated capital position for TD Bank\u2019s North American Personal and Commercial (P&C) businesses. The Funds Transfer Pricing Measurement and Analytics (FTP M&A) team within TBSM supports the margin measurement, reporting, and management functions for the bank's North American P&C businesses. The team defines, attributes and reports the margin and Net Interest Income (NII) performance of the bank\u2019s various products. Team members support the design of new products, portfolio profitability and product pricing decisions.
Overview of Team and Individual Responsibilities: The FTP Reporting team is responsible for summarizing margin and NII performance for North American business lines through our centralized Tableau reporting platform, utilizing our data to develop insights and support strategic decisioning. The group will own the explanation of actual and forecast results by isolating macro (Capital Markets, economic) and product specific drivers to inform stakeholders from TBSM, Product Management and Finance. The Manager, Business Intelligence & Reporting I will be responsible for reviewing reporting produced by the team, completing complex reporting initiatives to increase our ability to extract deeper insights from our data, and overseeing the evolution and capability of our Tableau based reporting platform to enhance the accessibility experience for partners. Key Responsibilities of this position include: \u2022 Act as a team lead by contributing to the professional development and evaluation of Senior Analysts while also conducting secondary review of CDN / US Retail / Corporate (Capital) dashboards to validate content, messaging and presentation consistency. \u2022 Provide tertiary reporting support during the reporting cycle, analyzing data to uncover insights into results and leading meetings to inform senior audiences. \u2022 Develop and maintain relationships with Finance as well as other TBSM teams (such as other FTP teams and US ALM). These relationships will be essential in understanding trends, articulating consistent narratives, and promoting adoption of our reporting tools. \u2022 Leverage cross region expertise to raise potential FTP measurement issues and Balance Sheet Optimization opportunities. \u2022 Manage the prioritization and delivery of new reporting requests with varying degrees of complexity, balancing resources and scalability. \u2022 Develop data expertise in order to identify and implement opportunities to enhance the value of our data platform. \u2022 Maintain Tableau expertise with a focus on continuous improvement of reporting capabilities and output, including the user experience, efficiency, available information, and overall evolution of reporting views. Internal \u2022 Contribute to an engaging team culture, sharing knowledge and ideas to increase treasury, banking, and reporting expertise. Specific Educational Requirements: \u2022 Post-secondary degree in a related field (ex. Finance, Business, Economics, etc.). \u2022 MBA, CA, CMA, CFA considered an asset.
Qualifications: Familiarity with: \u2022 The features and characteristics of North American retail banking products. \u2022 Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) concepts and their application to personal and commercial mortgage, loan and deposit products. \u2022 Principles of interest rate risk management, including asset and liability management, (e.g. duration, convexity, key rate immunization) as well as liquidity management. \u2022 Prior experience with Tableau considered an asset Competencies and Personal Qualities: \u2022 Superior written and verbal communication skills with an ability to articulate complex concepts to audiences with various backgrounds and seniority. \u2022 Excellent relationship management skills, anticipating stakeholder needs and managing expectations while meeting committed timelines. \u2022 Experience with developing reporting that is creative, intuitive, and comprehensive. \u2022 Advanced capital markets/macroeconomic knowledge with an interest in understanding their connection to the banking industry. \u2022 Team oriented, supportive of collective goals and fostering a learning environment. \u2022 Exemplary work ethic and drive to succeed with an ability to overcome adversity. \u2022 Approach responsibilities with diligence and initiative, taking ownership of issues to ensure successful outcomes. \u2022 Strong conceptual thinking skills with an ability to adapt and connect new business concepts with reporting capabilities to proactively implement change. \u2022 Challenge the status quo and exhibit a forward looking mindset to identify enhancement opportunities that are efficient and scalable. \u2022 Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and manage competing initiatives. \u2022 A data analytics thought leader with a track record of delivering meaningful value and ability to influence the adoption of independent data access within an organization.
