Marketing Marketing partners with client management, product management, Executive Office and other areas of the business to develop client servicing, marketing, educational content and campaigns for U.S. and non-U.S., institutional and retail audiences. Marketing analysts contribute to the strategic design and development of content and programmes to develop marketing programmes that consistently reflect PIMCO's brand and client service standards. The marketing summer analyst will be expected to extract, analyse and report on data from a variety of internal and external sources including digital and social media to strategically position and maximise the effectiveness of PIMCO's marketing platforms. Career Development, Training and Mentoring
Every intern begins their summer with a week of training in our London office. The PIMCO Fundamentals training program will provide you with the skills, knowledge and relationships that will prepare you to succeed as you start the program. Formal and informal training will continue throughout your time in the program, creating a rigorous learning environment. In addition, you will be teamed with a seasoned professional who offers guidance and mentorship throughout the internship. The internship provides an excellent opportunity to develop meaningful partnerships through cross-department training and a collaborative team project. Throughout the course of the summer, the analyst will be expected to showcase an understanding of advanced fixed income concepts and general portfolio management concepts, while operating in a high performance environment. In preparation for the internship, analysts will receive preparation materials intended to supplement PIMCO Fundamentals training, and related product knowledge.
Summer Programme Details:
Starts mid/late-June, 10 weeks in length, Week 1 consists of PIMCO Fundamentals training
Formal mentor programme
Formal reviews/feedback at mid-summer and end-of-programme
Penultimate year of study with an anticipated graduation date between December 2020 - June 2021.
Expected minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent) at an accredited college or university.
Proficient in English. Proficiency in additional European languages desirable.
Desired candidates should possess the following characteristics:
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong interest in marketing and the financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment finance
Ability to articulate ideas/strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing
Demonstrated commitment to quality and attention to detail; ensure that work is delivered completely, accurately and on time
Personable, ability to develop client relationships into strategic partnerships
Highly organized, proactive with strong project management skills
Ethical, collaborative, organised, self-starter, accountable, flexibility to adapt in a changing environment
Proficiency in German, Spanish, French or Italian preferred.
