As a Senior Associate of Corporate Strategy, you will be part of a team that works to identify and build upon the most attractive strategic opportunities for SVB and drive necessary changes in the organization. You will play a vital role in executing projects that analyze strategic alternatives in depth so that short and long term financial implications, trends, competition, risks, and opportunities are well understood. You will work on high priority initiatives at both corporate and business unit levels, as well as work across multiple functions to identify issues and assess financial and organizational impact.
Qualifications and responsibilities
Assist in the discovery, solution development, and recommendation design for key strategic topics including market and competitive analyses
Participate in the creation and presentation of senior management and Board-level communications
Support ongoing business intelligence, competitor tracking, and best practice implementation efforts through fact-based analyses of markets, trends, and competitors
4+ years of related experience
Bachelor's degree required, MBA a plus
Strong quantitative and analytic skills. Advanced modeling skills. Ability to synthesize complex data.
Self-starter that's comfortable performing in a fast paced, dynamic, and ambiguous business environment
Strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting
Strong critical thinking skills including discernment, analysis, evaluation, judgement, and experience with multiple business models
Strong strategic and decision making framework capabilities including hypothesis design, complex issue identification, problem solving approaches, and decision frameworks
