For this role, we're counting on your technical leadership to forge our path moving forward. As an emissary of the crucial nature of data science, you'll work in close proximity with others across the bank in collaboration with our team's mandate for the Fraud Risk Management program. You have an interest in understanding and exploring risk and how analytics solutions can drive better business decisioning. You'll play a crucial role on cross functional teams of data scientists, data analysts, BI analysts, and business process owners to build out and implement world-class analytic solutions enterprise wide. You can handle just how much data TD has, and cannot wait to help build analytics solutions, visualizations and statistical models that scale to them.
As a Manager Analytics & Insights, these are the essential qualifications of this role:
Lead and manage a sizeable team of Analyst professionals and overall operation of a diverse group in an area of moderate risk, complexity or scope
Lead and execute data/business analysis using various internal data sources to support the understanding of customers, business drivers and financial results
Provide insight into leading analytic practices, designs and leads iterative learning and development cycles, and ultimately produce new and creative analytic solutions that will become core deliverables
Guide and lead mathematical concepts for the broader analytics team and inspire the adoption of advanced analytics and data science across the organization as it's mandate grows and develops
Interpret the meaning of new strategic directions and set objectives and measurements
Capture and analyze information or data on current and future trends as well as develop visualizations to share with our partners
Analytical thought leadership and stay current on developments in data mining and the application of data science
Work independently as a senior lead and may manage and direct activities related to analysis, design and support of technical data management solutions on various projects ranging in complexity and size
Educate the organization on approaches, such as testing hypotheses and statistical validation of result
Research organizational and professional trends, evaluate information sources, and collate and compare findings for bias, omission and accuracy, conduct objective analysis
Liaise with business partners to conduct effective discussions on project requirements, data specifications, priority and timeline to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
Manage resource capacity and maintain a pool of technical specialists to work on data and reporting projects
Ensure an integrated approach with other business management areas, broader organization, and enterprise as appropriate
