We are looking for a Head of Regulatory Strategy and Relations to:
Support Singapore Country Head, Country Chief Operating Officer and other UBS managers to manage supervisory relationship and engagement with MAS
Manage and prepare for significant supervisory meetings between UBS Singapore and regulators, identifying key issues and outcomes of these meetings and ensuring actions are addressed promptly
Manage supervisory reviews and exams on UBS Singapore, including identifying key issues, coordinate appropriate responses, recording findings and ensure responsible parties properly track remedial actions, and providing regular status updates to various senior UBS management and governance forums.
Manage responses to ad hoc regulatory requests from MAS and other financial supervisors;
Collaborate with other regulatory managers regionally and globally, including collating management information, analyzing developments across jurisdictions to ensure consistency of approach and reporting on relevant developments for global meetings and reports.
Work on ad-hoc internal projects as necessary

You will head the Singapore RR team of two and report to Head of Group Regulatory and Governance APAC. You will work closely with Head of Compliance and Operational Risk Control (C&ORC) APAC and his/her team.
Singapore Head of RR owns the interface with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and will support other regional RR teams that owns the interface with other core regulators, particularly the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA), UBS home regulator. The role will work closely with C&ORC (Compliance & Operational Risk Control) and act as coordinator for regulatory matters arising in other UBS locations in South Asia, the primary responsibility of such matter rests on the local UBS Country Heads and local Head of C&ORC in these other South Asia locations.
Regulatory Strategy & Relations (RR) sits under Regulatory Affairs (RA) of Group Compliance, Regulatory & Governance (GCRG). The GCRG function is the competence center for Compliance and Operational Risk Control, Governmental and Regulatory Affairs as well as Investigations and Governance matters Our vision is to be an industry-leading function in the effective oversight of compliance and operational risks and to enable the firm to effectively cope with the evolving regulatory environment and driving solutions in line with UBS's strategic objectives. The key function of RR is to promote effective relationships with financial supervisors, coordinates supervisory engagement (including regulatory inspections and significant issues) and identifies and advises senior management on key supervisory themes and respective engagement strategies within and across regions. RR has dedicated teams for Switzerland, UK, US, Germany, Hong Kong and Singapore.
15+ years relevant working experience liaising closely with Banking regulators ideally the MAS
Previously worked at a regulatory agency, particularly MAS or have previous experience of managing regulatory interaction in a bank
Strong leadership and management skills
Experience in finance regulations and understand the implications for a bank such as UBS
Excellent communication skills and interact well with senior stakeholders internally and externally
Highly proactive, strategic thinking, can deliver effectively and efficiently
