The RLAM Finance function is split between centres of excellence which have specialist knowledge in each discipline.
The Financial Control Team maintains accurate financial records for the business, and manages elements of the risk and control framework.
Sitting in an immediate team of 3, and a wider team of 8, this role is a great opportunity for a newly qualified accountant looking to build a career in a fast growing and successful Asset Management business.
This will be a hands-on role working to multiple tight deadlines to ensure that accounting records are maintained and also explained to other teams within the Finance department that depend on our output.
Following the success of RLAM the Finance department is evolving and there will be lots of scope to propose and implement improvements to what is a growing function. We're looking for a team member who will be prepared to challenge constructively, innovate and propose pragmatic solutions whilst ensuring accurate accounting records are maintained.
What you will be doing:
Ensuring accounting entries are recorded accurately
Producing variance analysis and providing explanation to assist in preparation of the management accounts Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Preparing statutory accounts for entities within the RLAM Estate
Liaising with external audit professionals, responding to questions and explaining accounting treatment and processes.
Completing regulatory returns for submission to the FCA
Continuous improvement of month end processes
Maintenance of controls, procedures and other documentation.
What we're looking for
Accountancy or finance related degree
Newly qualified (CIMA or ACCA, no preference).
Experience within a financial services finance function
Well rounded graduate, with a strong academic background
Good Excel skills.
Knowledge of Oracle
