Undertaking financial analysis and evaluation of commercial and residential real estate investments predominantly in Germany, but also other European geographies on a case-by-case basis;
Undertaking due diligence and being responsible for the execution of transactions, working closely with and supporting the senior investment team as well as with third-party experts from a variety of fields;
Managing transaction and investment execution processes which involve third-party finance providers and professional service providers as well as colleagues in other EPA LLP offices in Europe;
Modelling complex operating business plans including debt financing structures (senior, mezzanine and/or junior) as well as equity participations and other intermediate capital instruments;
Modelling cash flows of lease structures as well as operating companies;
Identifying and modelling key investment value drivers and risk factors (including operational drivers and financing terms);
Ability to understand tax-driven acquisition structures and model investment cash flows accordingly;
Undertaking credit analysis for key tenants, guarantors and similar stakeholders;
Undertaking sector- and location-specific market analysis;
Assisting the senior investment team with the preparation of investment memoranda to committee members for decision-making purposes;
Participating in presentations to various company executives, committees and boards;
Participating in the legal documentation process of acquisitions and divestments;
Creating value in the portfolio post-acquisition through hands-on asset management and influential representation of Ekistics' interests to its partners;
Representing Ekistics at external events (Expo Real, MIPIM, etc);
And ad hoc duties as required, in line with seniority and experience.
Additionally, over time the AD should expect to experience:
Developing own origination network across both Germany and Europe and sourcing deals and partnership opportunities proactively in close coordination with the senior investment team and the advisory committee, taking into account, inter alia, regional capital deployment targets, targeted portfolio composition, as well as risk-return positions across the portfolio;
Assisting in evaluation, formulation and implementation of the company's strategic plan for Germany
