This role sits with a leading energy firm and is based in the City of London.
The Risk Analyst will be responsible for:
Managing all routine queries to the department, re-directing then to the Insurance Manager/Head of Insurance as appropriate, ensure that all payment requests and any other costs incurred by the department are administered within time limits and provide rolling cashflow forecasts
Management of the UK Risk Survey activities of insurers in relation to insurance programmes, ensuring that surveys and follow-up actions are completed to time while effectively managing stakeholders and maximising the risk management benefits and minimising potential additional costs
Management of liability claims effectively, with support and direction from the Head of Insurance, ensuring that the claims are managed efficiently, business units engaged and costs minimised through active stakeholder management and technical leadership
Devising the renewal timetable and monitor own performance against target, identifying areas for improvement within the process and implement these with support from the Insurance Manager/ Head of Insurance
Analysis and presentation of renewal information, as requested, and provision of this to the broker in the required format and in adequate time for the preparation of renewal market presentations
Responsibility for Management Information Systems used by the Insurance department
Active participation in routine broker meetings, renewal strategy, progress and review meetings and maintenance of regular contact with insurance brokers
Management all motor claims and relevant stakeholder engagement, ensuring that costs are monitored and statistics are made available to the Head of Insurance for risk management purposes
The successful Risk Analyst will be:
Qualified professional with a Diploma in Insurance or Risk Management (working towards ACII qualification), or has equivalent suitable working experience
Demonstrable experience of large commercial insurance
Experienced user of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Power Point; some knowledge of the SAP accounting system would be beneficial
Detailed knowledge of insurance terminology and the ability to analyse business contracts and policy documentation
Ability to deal with individuals confidently and at a senior level where required both in and out of the organisation
This is a 12 month fixed term contract paying £35,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience level.
