The Sourcing Program Analyst will gather relevant information related to how the company's supply chain operates and evaluate that information to identify trends and patterns and potential areas for improvement. They will also be responsible for compilation of weekly status reports, monthly readout reports, and performance surveys.
They will review all requests that come in on a daily basis and make a determination as to how the request should be addressed - either via a sourcing project, benchmark analysis, targeted negotiation, or movement to fulfillment.
This role will proactively follow up on project statuses and review with internal team on a weekly basis. They will be responsible for escalation any known issues to Sourcing leads for resolution as well as collaborating with other groups within SVB in order to successfully support the business.
Acts as the central operations hub overseeing internal Sourcing operations in order to keep program running from a tactical perspective:
Review of Purchase Requests for potential for competitive events, benchmark, or targeted pricing negotiation exercises
Route and assign all Purchase Requests to the appropriate Sourcing Manager in a timely fashion, in order to support actions be taken
Ensure all relevant data is entered into the Procurement system of record, generate project status reports, and conduct weekly project status updates
Provide adhoc reporting to senior level management, in order to foster engagement and provide spend analytics and recommendations for sourcing activities.
Gather and monitor bank and industry trends to identify relevant economic and business factors and analyze data on a project based as well as overall program basis for reporting purposes (E.g. project status, escalations, program spend trends). This information is intended to help the business understand how they compare with their peers in the market and advise alignment (or not).
Participate in team meetings, training and special projects as assigned by management.
Ensure Sourcing guidelines and procedures are maintained and updated as processes change and ensures these guidelines are followed by all Souring personnel. This will help maintain that a consistent level of service is being provided by the organization.
Routinely make decisions on how to report key data points to executive management - design reports and dashboards to be presented to executive management.
Daily review and decisions made on how to assign projects to sourcing managers, taking into account areas of expertise, workload balancing for the team, and the potential to bundle projects where possible.
Recommendations based on data analysis and presentations will be made to business stakeholders and larger sourcing team. Other recommendations include how to best balance workload for the team, how to structure meeting cadences, identify key data points for reporting purposes.
Bachelor's Degree or 3 years sourcing/supply chain or data analytics experience
Experience working with C-Level Customers a plus
Financial services experience a plus
Strong understanding of sourcing processes and policies.
In depth understanding of analytics tools, project management capabilities.
Excellent communication and a customer service mindset are required to be successful in this role.
