The Team Proactively Identify, Manage & Reduce IT Risk and create a data driven risk culture
The Role: In this role, you will support the Vice-President and other IT Risk Directors to collaboratively develop, implement and monitor a strategic and comprehensive Enterprise IT Risk Management Program within the First Line of Defence that governs, enables and oversees IT Risk functions in accordance with regulatory expectations and evolving business practice. You'll embed IT Risk management concepts and requirements into day-to-day IT management practices by leveraging and augmenting existing standards, teams, processes and technology across the organization, ensuring the program is effectively integrated with other enterprise-wide programs and frameworks.
Is this role right for you? You have experience to
Identify pervasive IT risk issues or issues across technology and oversee major remediation initiatives.
Offer proactive advice on the appropriate design of IT risk controls through active engagement, guidance and counselling
Develop and Maintain IT risk standards, procedures and processes
Maintain inventory of Enterprise IT risk processes and identify and maintain Key Enterprise-wide IT Controls
Ensure critical assets (applications, infrastructure) are inventoried
Provide Training to IT Groups on standards, procedures and processes
Identify and Analyze IT risk issues across the portfolio and the enterprise and act as the primary Knowledge Group Risk Advisor on the topic of IT governance to report on IT Risk
Support the Second Line of Defence and Audit in their respective mandates and maintain an overall view and reporting of Internal Audit findings, actions and corresponding remedial actions relevant to the IT Risk Management Program
Enable and support IT risk advisors and management oversight of IT risk across IT&S areas.
Champion and lead the modernization of internal Risk data for IT&S and influence strategic prioritization of enterprise IT risk remediation efforts.
Ensure that known IT risks and issues are reflected in financial plans for remediation.
Design, produce and evolve management reporting on IT Risk and communicate and escalate aggregated KRI/KPI's and data for emerging IT risk areas.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? You have
A breadth of IT and Risk management experience (governance, operations, and management)
Strong leadership, communication and strategic influencing capability, supported by well-developed analytical and strategic thinking competencies
Expertise in IT Risk management, systems design, change management, release management, security services and service availability
Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills for developing communication strategies for Executive approval through to implementation of strategies and programs
Strong ability to balance competing or conflicting goals of various departments and stakeholders which requires a mature, diplomatic approach and highly developed negotiation and influencing skills
Good knowledge of multiple global financial products including related systems and procedures
Experience leading a IT Risk and customer focused culture throughout your team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
Demonstrated ability to build a high performance environment that attracts, retains, develops and motivates your team by fostering an inclusive work environment with clear communication of vision/values/business strategies and development planning for the team
