My client is a top, mid-market focused unlisted infrastructure fund with ~$3 billion in terms of funds under management. The fund also boasts well over $1 billion in direct investment mandates, and has an active and broad investment mandate that spans core & core plus infrastructure, renewables, real assets and infrastructure-related technology investments. With a strong pipeline of activity in place for 2020, they are looking for an Associate to join their team in Sydney.
The Associate will report to the Investment Directors and will work as a key part of the Investment team. Key responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:
Contribute to the building of an investment thesis and potential investments
Contribute to capital management and structuring decisions;
Contribute to due diligence;
Contribute to investment papers and presentations with the investment committee
Support the investment management function of the team;
Contribute to fundraising activities;
Support the asset management function of the team
Contribute and promote thought leadership and best practice analysis;
Contribute to conference presentations and areas of research;
The successful individual will likely have anywhere from ~3-5 years' experience in M&A advisory, investment banking, corporate finance or project finance (or similar) and have a demonstrated desire to work and think like an investor. An interest in infrastructure and real assets, and an understanding of how this space is expanding & growing, will obviously be a strong advantage.
