A leading private equity firm based in London is looking for a finance assistant to join their finance team. In this role you will be supporting the investment and management of portfolio businesses by maintaining a valuable source of current and historical financial information for the company and investors.
Main responsibilities include:
- Manage the accounts payable process across a number of legal entities. - General bookkeeping and journal postings. - Carry out new supplier checks and prepare bank payments. - Deal with supplier queries. - In-depth involvement in the rolling-out of the new invoice approval system and the new ledger system. - Prepare monthly reconciliations and provide assistance with the monthly management accounts. - Prepare monthly supplier payment runs - Prepare workings and submission of monthly VAT Returns - Receivables reporting and debtor management - Prepare recharge invoices for review - Preparation of Management Accounts for the UK regulated entity - Preparation of co-investment structures - Supporting the investment accounting team to accurately record fund and investment transactions - Preparation of budgets and cash flows for review by the finance executive - Statutory and Regulatory filings - Supporting the finance team in other operational duties
The successful candidate will have:
- Relative experience working as an Accounts assistant and have knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or Management accounting. - Minimum 1-2 years+ working in the financial services sector. - Microsoft Dynamics GP would be advantageous - Good excel knowledge is desirable - Strong analytical, numerical, verbal and IT skills
