The client is a multi-billion dollar investment vehicle that has built a significant global portfolio consisting of a wide range of asset classes.
The key responsibilities are as follows:
Conducting deal evaluation and execution; a holistic approach, including and not limited to investment appraisal, financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, forming recommendations and review of transaction documents
Conducting portfolio evaluation on an on-going basis, including research, portfolio and market analysis
Performing basic due diligence, including financial and investment policies
Supporting and developing relationships with third parties
Contributing to the sourcing of new investment opportunities
The ideal candidate will have the following:
University degree in Business/Finance from a western university
A Master's degree or/and MBA and/or CFA/CA is preferred
4 - 8 years of M&A and deal execution experience focusing on Sub-Saharan Africa at a bulge-bracket investment bank or private equity
Excellent quantitative skills and financial modelling skills such as valuation, merger models, portfolio metrics, DCF models etc.
Sector experience in real assets (infrastructure, mining, real estate) is preferred
Excellent communication, presentation and negotiating skill
