Morgan Stanley is seeking an experienced C#/WPF developer to help advance its market-leading trading GUIs. The role involves designing, building, deploying & supporting GUIs & analytical tools which are used by our global Trading, Strat and Support teams to operate a variety of trading systems. The candidate will be working as part of a fast-moving IT / quant / trading team on systems which span complex option trading to high volume market making.
Top-notch core C#/WPF development skills and a track record building resilient, scalable message-driven systems is a must-have. This is an agile, front-office role facing off with the business and, as such, strong communication skills and an ability to work in a global team is essential. Candidate must have electronic trading knowledge: options / cash / ETF / futures preferred; liquid rates / FX acceptable. Knowledge of HTML5 and would be an advantage.
- You will be using core C#/WPF development to build and enhance electronic trading GUIs. - The role involves working directly with the global trading, quant and IT teams to advance the platforms and the businesses they serve. - The project portfolio is varied spanning automation of existing and new workflows, building analytics for large data-sets and improvements to application performance and capacity. - You will be involved in the full software development lifecycle from discussing and agreeing requirements, formulating designs and developing and deploying the changes. - The systems you will work on are critical to the business and operate in demanding electronic trading environments and, as such, must be highly available, scalable and able to manage high throughput, large volume messaging and data-sets.
- Expert in C#/WPF - Experience of developing and optimising demanding C#/WPF message driven GUIs managing very high update rates - Experience of working with end users directly - Knowledge of automated trading systems, specifically trading GUIs - Clear verbal and written communication - Track record of designing systems which can be automatically tested - Strong troubleshooting ability - Development and architecture style focused on maintainability, stability and resiliency
- Knowledge of equity derivatives or other similar asset classes (FX, fixed income, spread/CFD) - HTML5, Angular - Java experience - Knowledge of KDB or other time series data analysis systems
