As a Manager in the Compliance team aligned to the Macquarie Capital operating group in London, you'll have an excellent opportunity to further develop your compliance experience in a dynamic, commercial and fast-paced environment. Sitting with the Macquarie Capital business, the role is challenging and requires broad involvement with compliance issues and regular interaction with senior management and executives across Macquarie Capital and the Risk Management Group in Europe.
Key responsibilities for this role include ensuring an effective compliance environment is maintained across Macquarie Capital in Europe, managing potential conflicts of interests associated with transactions undertaken by Macquarie Capital and advising on compliance implications for specific transactions, new products and businesses. You will develop and deliver training and policies as required, in addition to running breach and incident reporting. You will contribute to the wider programme of work for the compliance team in regional and global projects and also in identifying and reporting on regulatory risks. Lastly, you'll be required to report on key compliance metrics to senior management in Macquarie Capital.
To be successful, you will have gained at least 5 years' experience in an investment banking, legal or regulatory environment and have compliance advisory experience within private side businesses including investment banking, corporate finance and capital markets.
A good working knowledge of capital markets and financial services laws, regulatory environment and products is key to your success and an interest in gaining exposure to and working closely with the underlying business will allow you to excel in the role.
Ideally you will have the ability to take a pragmatic, commercial approach to risk and compliance whilst achieving desired outcomes
