Here's where you come in As Principal, Transaction Services you will be responsible for the overall project management of investment transaction to support the Transaction Sponsor including the processes associated with the monitoring of transaction opportunities, deal governance forums such as DIG and ensuring the development and maintenance of a best in class toolkit of key processes and documentation. Some of your responsibilities will include:
Develop the strategy for the delivery of an effective transaction support function for all types of transactions undertaken across all jurisdictions
As a member of the Global Finance and Reporting Services Leadership team, contribute to the development and implementation of the strategic plans which position the Fund to continue to grow, derive maximum return on assets, capture the benefits of scale and support key stakeholders achieve their objectives
Performance standards - establish high standards for performance outcomes and equip staff to adapt and respond to the challenges of our changing environment
Co-ordinate the provision of advice and support for new transaction types
Provide advice and guidance regarding improvements to the control processes within the team including periodic operational reviews to ensure compliance with internal control
Oversee the preparation of timely, comprehensive reporting on all transactions and the point they are at in the transaction lifecycle
You'll need To be successful in this role, you will have strong technical accounting skills as well as the following:
An understanding of Corporate Law in key jurisdictions would be highly regarded
Strong understanding of legislation in relation to financial services and international tax would be beneficial
Demonstrated highly effective people management skills with an ability to lead and develop a team to high performance
Highly developed ability to understand and challenge existing and theoretical models in order to identify ways to drive efficiency
Advanced influencing, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills are essential
Experience in leading initiatives to drive change across the team
The ideal candidate will have advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to present ideas, perspectives and issues to senior management and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
