Our client is an alternative investment fund manager, investing in late stage tech companies in Europe and the US. It works closely with corporate and institutional investors as well as family offices. The firm is seeking to hire a Manager, Finance & Fund Controlling to join its Berlin-based team. In this position, you will work closely with the firm's managing director and be responsible for fund controlling and single fund management, accounting, as well as various processes and transactions. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for fund controlling and fund management as well as liquidity planning, management and preparation of capital calls. Additionally, distribution to investors based on single-fund investments
Analysis and recording of transaction and fund data
Preparation of annual financial statements according to IFRS and German accounting requirements (HGB)
Creation of fund models, distribution and sensitivity calculations as well as KPI analyses
Monitoring of fund compliance and regulatory requirements, such as AML
Creation and review of marketing documents for single fund investments
Support and coordinate the outsourced fund administration and fund accounting
Investor relations and fund administration
Digitalisation of processes in ongoing transactions and improve efficiency of processes
Assistance in due diligence of potential portfolio companies
Main point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, lawyers and other external contacts
University degree in Business Administration, Finance or related disciplines from a leading university; you will have worked or studied abroad for an extended period of time
Significant relevant work experience in a finance / controlling position - ideally gained from working in the finance function of a VC / PE fund, in a start-up environment, in the audit department of a Big 4 firm or in consulting
Good knowledge of German tax law and possessing all necessary experience for statutory requirements in HGB and IFRS
Interested in technology investments at growth stage (pre IPO)
A highly driven, motivated personality, ready to excel in a dynamic environment
Excellent skills in MS Office, in particular Excel
