In this challenging and demanding context, we are looking for a structurer to mainly cover inquiries from Asian life insurance companies. The job involves developing structured solutions, pricing, risk assessment, project management, and coordination with the origination team and the central functions at Munich Re.
Providing technical expertise in the context of client meetings and strategic projects
Analyzing risk and profitability of life insurance and reinsurance products, and in-force portfolios
Supporting further methodological and technical development of pricing and modelling tools by mixing traditional actuarial techniques and financial mathematic tools
Preparing and making internal and external presentations on life reinsurance topics (as required)
Analyzing policy data, modelling life insurance products, and generating cash flow projections for new life reinsurance transactions
Using statistical software for stochastic mortality and longevity modelling
University degree in mathematics, actuarial science, business economics, or related fields; up to 2 years' experience in life reinsurance or investment banking
Profound knowledge and understanding of stochastic/statistical techniques and financial mathematics as well as knowledge of international accounting and regulatory frameworks in the context of life insurance and the banking industry
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, MATLAB, and R
Experience in pricing and structuring bespoke reinsurance agreements or financial derivatives
Proactive and innovative in solving problems, as well as high personal integrity and flexibility in a continuously and rapidly changing environment
Good analytical abilities, able to work within a team distributed over various locations
Independent, reliable, and consistent working style, but still a good team player
Fluent in English and German
