The Head of Operations reports into the Investment Management COO.
Delivery of client services for a local & international private client base, through a stable & robust operating investment platform to support the smooth delivery of front office & investment accounting systems;
Delivery of fund administration services for in-house managed funds to meet service levels of fund boards & prioritisation of team responsibilities to support distribution strategies.
Delivery of Operations teams responsibilities, ensuring accuracy of data & calculations, reporting &process oversight.
Support and encourage continuous process improvement, to ensure simplicity & scalability within a controlled framework, through a review of processes & procedures to seek automation, outsourcing & increased service provision.
Seek excellence from internal & external service provider relationships, through clear oversight & ownership of client custody & administration third party service providers. Oversight of fund administration third party service providers & ensuring quarterly review meetings & annual due diligence meetings are undertaken as appropriate to manage risk.
Continue to be appraised of the regulatory environment & responsibilities expected, providing assured support to operational compliance that impacts investment management. Where necessary, ensure risks are managed & appropriate MI is in place.
Provide team management that enhances development of a team, apply a pragmatic approach to developing Centres of Excellence within the Group, & ensure that appropriate resources are available to deliver to the needs of service levels & the business.
At least 7 years Investment Operations experience at Senior Manager / Leadership level or Head of Investment Operations Team.
Able to demonstrate a high level of private client investment & funds operations' experience – essential!
Strong team leadership experience within a senior operations role, previously covering areas such as the dealing desk, trade support, middle office, custodial operations.
An understanding of the current regulatory environment
Compilation of key MI, understanding service levels & reporting requirements, especially in relation to risks, errors & breaches.
