Build relationships with financial institutions, regulatory and industry bodies to ensure the team is fully abreast of all future changes, and pro-actively planning delivery support.
Responsible to draft the business proposal on new products & clearing services to obtain management & board approval.
Work closely with Risk Management, Operations, internal technology teams and external technology vendors to design and implement the new product & clearing services.
Partner with Operations and Risk Management to drive functional sponsorship and ensure these areas have plans in place to deliver the processes and services needed under the business plan to support the product and functionality releases.
Drive the IT development schedule to ensure functional requirements are joined up to provide a workable solution.
For each new products or clearing services, responsible to work with Operations, Risk Management, Legal and Regulatory Compliance to draft or amend clearing rules and procedures; followed by drafting proposals and documents to obtain regulatory approval before product launch.
Drive the Product & Operating Model design for each functional and product release to ensure all impacted parties (including clearing members) fully understand their role in the process.
Ensure the clearing members understand operating model and process design and are fully supported through training and testing.
An ideal candidate should possess:
Strategic thinking with commercial awareness of product positioning, competitive and market landscape.
Work closely with internal & external counterparts to formalize new business/product agendas.
Ability to stay aligned with client demand, regulations, external vendor offerings and the evolving regulatory space.
University degree holder preferably in Finance, or other related subjects
At least 10 years' relevant industry experience
Strong business analysis skills
Demonstrable project planning and management skills through delivery examples
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Both a teamwork approach and self-sufficiency
Ability to work flexibly and take responsibility for all areas of work as required
Independent / Creative Thinking
Stakeholder Management / Influencing
Fluent in Chinese and English, both written and verbal
Background in OTC derivatives and Fixed Income & Currencies
Ideally experience across trade lifecycle for OTC products and OTC Clearing
