Provide high-level administrative support to the ------------------firm's Legal Department. The candidate will provide direct assistance on highly sensitive legal and/or administrative matters. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the legal department within a financial services company, or within a small to midsize law firm. The candidate should be a team player, extremely motivated, resourceful, efficient, organized, detail-oriented, a clear communicator and able to complete tasks independently.
Assist attorneys with capital markets documentation including sales and trading, loan trading and investment banking transaction agreements
Organization, preparation, review of trading and client onboarding documentation. Tracking and coordination of agreement negotiations and execution. Maintenance of databases
Ad hoc due-diligence projects.
Qualified as a notary preferred but not required
Arrange conference calls and meetings
Organize and maintain calendars, including interaction with external and internal resources, from assistants to executives and board members
Coordinate travel and prepare expense reports
Review legal documents to ensure they are grammatically correct and in proper format containing all necessary portions or related documents
Handle requests for information
Organize and maintain legal and corporate files and board materials, both hard copies and electronically
Conduct research as requested
Bachelor's degree required
Knowledge of legal terminology, appropriate English grammar, formatting of legal documents and legal correspondence etiquette
Experience working with In-house for broker-dealer (brokerage firm/investment bank) Or external counsel for law firm practice group
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Excellent organization skills and strong attention to detail; able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Advanced computer skills, including use of MS Office
