Job Description: The Financial Regulatory Analyst will have a key role in the protection of client assets and ensuring regulatory capital compliance for the Asia Pacific brokerage entities. In time, and with the training to be provided as part of the role, the analyst will become a key day to day contact for client protection and capital compliance. Additionally, the holder of this role will undertake ad-hoc financial analysis of the business, support a wide range of new business initiatives as the business grows, and will interface internal groups such as accounting, treasury, clearing and programming. The position offers an opportunity for significant growth. It will suit an intellectually curious person who is keen to learn about regulatory work at an international and technologically advanced broker. Extensive on the job training will be provided. This position will require a highly organized, analytical thinker who is persistent as well as resourceful in getting to the right answer. Candidates with intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail will thrive in this role. The ability to streamline and automate manual processes will be highly valued. This role does not require travel. Responsibilities:
Preparation of daily client money reconciliation and capital computations.
Monthly regulatory return preparation.
Support local regulatory and financial audits and regulatory exams.
Research the regulatory impact of new business initiatives.
Developing, enhancing and documenting regulatory control procedures.
Creating functional business requirements for enhancements to existing regulatory and operational systems.
Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, engineering, mathematics or sciences.
Prior experience with financial compliance (Client Money, FRR reporting, etc.) a strong plus.
Effective verbal and written communication in English.
Other Specific Skills & Knowledge:
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
High degree of comfort and proficiency with computerized systems.
Must be well organized, a self-starter and have strong work ethics.
Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
Experience with Oracle Financials is a plus.
Good understanding of technology and automation.
Ability to work cooperatively with multiple teams.
