Junior Internal Auditors' main task is to assist the Senior Auditors in Charge in assessing the compliance of the Group's operations, the effective level of risk exposure, the adequate enforcement of procedures, and the effectiveness and relevance of the permanent control set-up. Internal Audit also assesses the audited entity's management's risk awareness and gives its opinion on compliance with the rules of business conduct and expected professional practices.
Junior Internal Auditors participate to audit assignments covering risks areas as per the audit plan. They apply audit processes and methodologies, and use the tools supporting the audit cycle (Risk Assessment, Time tracking, Work Papers, Recommendation follow-up). They also assist the Head of Audit on specific assignments.
Key responsibilities are, but not limited to:
Assist audit management in the preparation of annual risk assessment and audit planning process. Help conduct continuous audit monitoring of the team's geographic and business perimeters.
Under the guidance of Head of mission, understand the specific risks involved and execute audit work program. Perform reviews and detail testing of processes to achieve internal control objectives.
Apply data analytics techniques to all types of audit work, from risk assessment and continuous monitoring to diagnostic or investigation phases.
Maintain clear work papers and audit trail of the work done in the appropriate tool.
Participate to the redaction of formal and clear reports to communicate audit results to management. Take part to oral presentations.
Follow up recommendations issued timely.
Acquire knowledge on activities and risks during assignments.
Take initiatives and participate to the continuous enhancement of the internal audit department.
Academic Background and Certifications, Experience:
Top tier University or Business Schools, major in Finance/Banking/Business Computing.
One to three years of experience, in audit or banking (front office, operations or risk management)
Understanding of investment banking culture would be a plus.
High analytical and writing skills.
Strong data analytics skills and a good practice of data analytics tools.
Displays rigor, transparency and honesty.
Possesses discipline, ability to commit and stick to deadlines.
Possesses strong communication skills and an ability to interact with a wide range of staff (all staff levels & management).
Openness, curiosity, team player and eager to learn.
