BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Seasoned leader in managing technical teams with 10+ years of working on complex IT projects.
Experience in cloud-related concepts and technologies, Dev ops, API platform and container platform (Openshift) are preferred
Strong understanding of DevOps fundamentals and possess deep technical background, with hands on experience in automated, agile environments delivering infrastructure, monitoring and tooling, in both cloud and non-cloud environment
Strong analytical, Project management, interpersonal, and communication skills, with high attention to minute details.
Technical / Functional Proficiency:
Responsible for building a devOps function for the commercial card processor systems. Oversee and guide all the activities of the Devops team
Lead development of Devops, Runtime and Operational innovation platforms
Design, build and manage operations of high secure and scalable platforms (mainframe, midrange and middleware) which are hosted across APAC, EMEA and LATAM regions.
In-depth automation experience using configuration management, testing and IDE tools such as BitBuket, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, SonarQube, Kubernetes, Docker, Validata QS, OpenShift, uDeploy) in order to facilitate automation, containerisation and orchestration
Ability to reduce or remove bottlenecks and inefficiencies of the devops and engineering team as a whole
Lead the DevOps team into the next journey including cloud adoption
Demonstrate thought leadership over implementation of effective CI/CD pipelines across the commercial cards technology teams
Own end to end software integration in order to support service delivery across the commercial cards team
Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the commercial cards processor application environment and infrastructure details
Own and lead multiple infrastructure projects simultaneously which involves application infrastructure related changes, risk and compliance coordination
Plan and engage internal stakeholders & external vendors to execute various levels of VAs (Vulnerable Assessments) related testing for applications, networks, and infrastructure.
Advise and assist application and infrastructure project teams on issue remediation / corrective action plan, compensating control, and risk exception alternatives where IT risk requirements cannot be met
Support audit and reporting requirements associated within key risk, control, governance, and compliance functions.
Develop standard operating procedures to facilitate handling of routine and preventive maintenance associated within operational environment
Work with Global development partners to participate in design and architecture for key enterprise applications to ensure deliver software on time, to required standards and as per the design documentation.
Experience in building enterprise transaction based system with focus on recovery, stability, reliability, scalability and performance.
Experience in virtualization will be an added advantage
Experience in performance tuning of large technical solutions with significant volumes
Understanding of internetworking concepts, firewall, communication protocols is a plus
Successful experience of leading and building Devops teams from inception with permanent employees and third party vendors
Play a mentor role to DevOps team and ability to promote the team's skillsets
Willingness to learn and apply new technologies and skills
Requires Strong Stakeholder Management experience to drive discussions between application development, Solution architects, Production Operations and Infrastructure stakeholders.
Flexible to work across different Time zones supporting stakeholders across ASPAC, EMEA and LATAM regions.
Strong technical excellence with security risk awareness and the ability to communicate with highly technical teams.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, both technical and functional.
Operate within assigned budget and demonstrate fiscal responsibility
Demonstrate excellent leadership, interpersonal, and team building skills.
Managing time and changing priorities in a dynamic environment
Ability to provide quick turnaround to software issues and management requests
Ability to assimilate key issues and concepts and come up to speed quickly
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's degree preferred
