The Analyst, handling a portfolio of Financial Institutions in Asia & Pacific has primary responsibility for:
Continually monitoring the health of individual counterparties and the overall portfolio
Preparing annual reviews of counterparties to assess credit quality and recommend appropriate credit limits.
Reviews should take account of regulatory changes including potential bail-in mechanisms, resolution frameworks and integrate the impact of Basel 3.
Proposing internal counterparty credit ratings in Starweb.
Handling credit requests for one off credit approvals by providing an appreciation of transaction risks and current counterparty credit metrics
Ensuring overdue credit renewal files and ratings do not exceed pre-determined thresholds.
Anticipating negative developments in the portfolio and proposing preemptive measures to best protect SG Group's interests
Monitoring and analyzing exposure.
Overseeing negotiation of legal documentation for counterparties and reviewing margin disputes which might indicate liquidity shortcomings.
Identifying (for Business Lines) the identities of financial institutions
Maintaining proactive communication with RISQ and Senior bankers.
Providing Business lines with guidance and feedback to improve 'RISK Culture' throughout SG.
Organize contact with Business Lines as appropriate to maintain effective dialogue.
Proposing credit policy in coordination with coverage
Understanding of financial statements and banking products.
Ability to highlight key risk issues in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to meet deadlines and make independent recommendations/decisions.
Ability to work in a team as communicate efficiently with RISQ partners
