Our client, a leading global private investment fund, are looking to hire an ambitious individual to join their newly established Product Control team. As the Product Controller, you will be responsible for monitoring the fund's performance throughout its lifecycle and regularly liaising with the finance, investment and legal teams. The Product Control team has essentially been established to act as a key interface between the Global Operations team and the rest of the business - allowing you to gain plenty of exposure. This role would best suit a qualified accountant with experience of working within a fund environment who is looking to step into a more commercial based role. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure the operational and internal control frameworks are fit for purpose throughout the fund's lifespan
Work alongside Legal and Compliance on the proposed fund structure ensuring that all legal requirements can be delivered from an operational perspective
Working with internal finance teams to quantify and design the framework for management fee and carry calculations
Maintain sound relationships with the Global Operations and Investment teams as well as some external investors
Contribute to external audits working closely with both the internal and external audit teams
Critically assess the operational services of the fund always providing feedback to stakeholders
Regularly attend relevant investment meetings to understand the current deal pipeline
A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
Knowledge or experience within private equity is preferable
An understanding of the investment fund lifecycle
Experience of change management programmes is desirable, but not a prerequisite
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively build and maintain relationships
