My client is a Top tier Global Credit Rating agency with established presence in APAC. Their South-east Asia Credit team is looking for strong credit analysts to join the APAC team. The team will be responsible for analysis of new transactions, surveillance on existing publicly or privately rated transactions with a focus on project finance / structured finance / trade finance. You will also be accountable for writing and publishing research reports on the relevant industries.
The portfolio is across South-east Asia, India and Indonesia market with a focus on large scale infrastructure such as Transports, Power plants and Public private partnerships. The role will allow you to have exposure to one of the most interesting sectors in this area, you should possess excellent Excel and financial modelling skills to support your analysis, as well as a solid foundation of capital structures and financial documentation.
Take lead as either a lead or secondary credit analyst on credit ratings on new transactions as well as monitoring on existing ratings
Prepare rating action commentary for publication
Constantly up to date with new market developments surrounding rated transactions and their various sectors
Evaluating the potential impact on the transaction and maintaining contact with related parties.
Present credits papers to internal rating committees
Participate and contribute in rating committees for other rated transactions.
Participate in internal discussions on sector-wide credit issues that could lead to publication of research reports
Have the ability to identify key risk factors in a large-scale transaction is essential
Prior experience within project financing/structured finance and in an analytical role within a financial services firm
Solid experience in APAC region specifically within India market
Have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent financial modelling skills and solid Excel skills
Be proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables, Macros)
Be highly motivated, flexible, proactive, and adaptable to change
Have excellent organizational skills, time management skills and problem solving skills
Ability to probe questions of companies and their advisers and keep fully up to date with sector trends in order to assess the impact on transactions
