The DESRI internship will rotate between Denver and New York. During the Denver portion of the rotation (eight weeks), your work will focus on asset management. You'll work with DESRI asset managers assisting in day-to-day management functions including data analytics and performance optimization, counterparty reporting, asset preventative maintenance, and reactive maintenance management. The New York portion of the rotation (two weeks) will focus on finance and acquisitions, where you'll assist in modeling, due diligence, and acquisition support to gain exposure to the financing and deal analysis aspects of DESRI. Interns will make at least one site visit to an operating solar or wind asset, participate in New York intern events, and present to DESRI senior management at the end of the summer.
Who we're looking for
Candidates should be enrolled in a master's program and have an impressive record of academic or professional achievement.
Experience with electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related technology is required.
Previous business, finance, or accounting coursework is preferred.
Alternatively, we welcome applicants who are enrolled in an advanced degree program in engineering or renewable energy and who have at least some direct renewables experience.
