Anaysts in the CFR Group support new business development and investment banking engagements. Analysts work on a variety of transactions that provide exposure to various investment banking services, including mergers and acquisitions, private placements of debt and equity, refinancings and leveraged buyouts.
Analysts in Houlihan Lokey's Consumer, Food & Retail (CFR) Group have an excellent opportunity to work alongside investment bankers in a stimulating environment on various M&A, Debt or Equity advisory assignments for clients and gain valuable on-the-job training. You will assist in the preparation of materials for clients, conduct market, industry and company analyses. Furthermore, you will gain experience in financial modelling, valuation analyses, support the due diligence processes on the buy side and sell side process.

The following qualifications are required:
You will have a strong academic track record and achieved a 2:1 or equivalent degree
2nd year Analyst (class of 2018) or newly qualified ACA candidate looking to move into investment banking
Have an understanding of valuation theory, methodologies and applications
Strong LBO and DCF modelling skills
Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential
A demonstrated interest in M&A
Investment banking experience within either an M&A, generalist or Industry team
You must be motivated and have the ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff in a rapidly changing, demanding, but ultimately rewarding environment
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
