The NCF&P Risk team drives executional effectiveness of the Operational Risk framework by delivering along our core competencies of: Risk Expertise, Consumer Banking Knowledge, Project Management, Critical Thinking, Relationship Building, and Talent Management. The NCF&P Business Control Consultant will be responsible for executing projects related to highly complex business problems and breakage points within the NCF&P businesses.
The Business Control Consultant is responsible for ensuring consistent execution of risk management activities across the Consumer segment in alignment with Enterprise Risk Policies and Procedures including:
Partnering with process owners in the development, documentation and ongoing maintenance of process maps and identification of risks and controls
Facilitating the execution of Risk Control Self-Assessment, developing reporting of results, and escalating issues
Executing the issues management process including creation and validation of initial and final action and response plans
Executing change management activities including Business Change Risk Assessments (BCRA), Regulatory, Technology, Transformation and other business changes
Supporting and creating training activities through identification of role based business training needs and risk management training activities through audience validation and communication
Championing Truist's risk culture
Minimum Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. 7 years of work experience including audit, operations, process engineering or risk management Strong knowledge of SOX and other industry-related regulatory requirements, and operational risk concepts. Professional communications and presentation skills. Strong relationship management skills. Demonstrated leadership or management skills. Solid k nowledge of risk management principles and controls, b road-based business practices, and deep understanding of segment/function business processes, with the ability to assess levels of adherence/execution and identify risk/control improvement opportunities.
Preferred Requirements: MBA or advance degree. Consulting experience at a corporate level Experience in the financial services industry; Project management skills, Strong writing and verbal skills, Ability to work within a matrix organization
