Altus Partners is excited to be partnering with a $multi-billion AUM boutique equity fund manager in their search for a Global Equity Analyst to cover the Industrials sector. The firm runs a long-term, high conviction strategy, investing into high-quality companies that are trading at a discount to fair value; in this way, they have generated consistently excellent performance for more than 10 years.
This position will sit within a close-knit, collaborative and highly experienced team of investment professionals, and will report directly to the CIO.
Responsibilities will include:
Identifying potential investment opportunities across the breadth of the industrials sector.
Structuring and delivering original research.
Meeting with senior-level company management as part of analytical processes.
Analysing data (financial and other) to deliver insights.
Participation in ad hoc projects, additional research and preparation of reports and client materials.
5 to 10 years of relevant experience with a lending institution - either as a Buy-Side Equity Analyst at a peer-group fund, in Sell-Side Equity Research, or in Private Equity.
Detailed professional knowledge of the industrials sector, or at least one of the related sub-sectors - Autos, Cap Goods, Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Waste Processing, etc.
Additional experience working in a relevant capacity within an industrials company would be advantageous.
A genuine passion for investing, particularly in global public equities.
An outstanding academic background.
Excellent communication skills and the confidence to interact with senior management figures.
A high degree of intellectual curiosity, an aptitude for lateral, imaginative thinking, and the humility and warmth to operate effectively within a collegiate team structure.
