In this role, you will be reporting to the Manager, Regulatory Solutions, RBC Investor & Treasury Services (I&TS). You will be responsible for supporting the management of global regulatory changes impacting I&TS clients, products and services in order for I&TS to ensure compliance with and timely implementation of regulatory developments from a business perspective; as well as protect the I&TS brand and reputation; and identify and develop commercial opportunities.
What will you do?
Identify, assess, escalate, manage and report key regulatory changes affecting I&TS clients and I&TS product and services offered to clients, with high levels of accuracy and adherence to Regulatory Solutions' approved procedures
Identify and monitor regulatory changes as assigned; and prepare high level Briefings of identified publications
Confirm applicability of regulations to I&TS and its clients
Maintain current and accurate information on the GRS' SharePoint site and intranet site
Act as a liaison with key business and functional groups to successfully manage evolving global regulatory developments for I&TS and its clients
Assist in the development of global reporting for I&TS senior management, clients and monitoring purposes
Together with the Manager, Regulatory Solutions and other members of the team, identify and assist in implementation of process improvements
What do you need to succeed?
4+ years' relevant industry experience
Post-secondary education including Master's degree or multiple Bachelor degrees (preferably in Mathematics, Science, Finance/Commerce, Economics and/or Law)
Knowledge of capital markets, investment funds and custody markets, banking and insurance sectors and related industry regulations
Demonstrated understanding of regulatory/compliance risk and finance principles
Excellent writing skills with proven track record of applying creative solutions to complex problems
Strong presentation skills, work ethic, and time management skills with a collaborative mindset
Prior experience in the interpretation of legislation or regulations; experience with implementation of complex and effective regulatory solutions and projects is a plus
Project management experience
Bilingual proficiency in French, Spanish or Italian
