The Project Sr Group Manager manages multiple teams through other managers. In-depth understanding of how own sub-function contributes to achieving the objectives of the function. A good understanding of the industry, direct competitors' products and services, is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business. Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the relevant part of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or area of expertise and related subject areas. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary. Responsible for executing functional strategy in area managed. Determines approach to implementing functional strategy. Accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and contribution to future strategy of the area(s). Impact reflects size of team managed, strategic influence on the business and interaction with other functions or businesses. Full management responsibility for multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval. May be doing involved or responsible for diverse (cross-discipline) activities. Typically, a direct report to a C16 role and function as an intergral member of the functional leadership team within a country/site location, job family, or line of business.
Responsible for the direction-setting, execution of strategy, issue resolution and accountable delivery head for multiple regulatory programs.
Manage project and program level execution of deliverables for regulatory programs within Financial Resource Management
Provide strategic direction and feedback with respect to initiative or project creation, alignment to business goals, stakeholder management, and executive communications.
Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, organizations and business heads.
Lead the facilitation, coordination, and arbitration of cross functional macro level topics within/across programs and with Senior Management.
Identify and drive resolution of issues, including those outside established projects of work.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project scope definition meets business objectives.
Collaborate with Project Sponsors to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business goals.
Direct the process with other departments if resources are being borrowed in order to ensure the project can be completed.
Assist program team in negotiating for resources owned by other departments in order ensure the program can be completed.
Drive adherence to program processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery and leverage across the project.
Direct the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
Direct the identification of risks which impact project delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary.
Evaluate subordinates' performance and makes recommendations for pay increases, promotions, terminations, and other personnel actions.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
15+ years relevant experience
Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred and managerial experience

8+ yrs of overall IT/Finance experience
Working knowledge of derivatives, secured financing transactions, collateral and margin
Ability to articulate strategic vision and impact & influence others
Strong knowledge of capital, collateral, and liquidity fundamentals
Experience managing technology teams
Strong communication and writing skills
Extensive SDLC experience, in particular experienced in agile project delivery
Extensive capital markets business (preferable but not mandatory) experience
Experienced with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle
Good Understanding of financial markets and functioning
Works well under pressure and in tight deadlines
