JobDescription : The Team: The Data Enablement team is responsible for building foundational execution and digital operating capabilities across the global Ratings Data and Content organization. This new team operates globally and brings together a collection of business and technical skills with a mandate to drive a transformative agenda in Ratings. The team has a can-do spirit and gets involved in a diverse and interesting range of activities. Reporting to the Head of Enablement, you will be empowered to help drive the use of DOaaS and available business intelligence, mapping, projects to a successful conclusion.
The Impact: This role plays a key part in driving the next phase of S&P Global Ratings' Data and Content Organization's journey towards being a digital workplace by serving as an expert on tools and capabilities across S&P Global divisions and external tools, including business intelligence and mapping tools. Over the past year the company has invested in building significant foundational capabilities to leverage partnerships across divisions and expanded access to Ratings data through its Data Lake, the Integrated Data Facility (IDF). We must now unlock the business value in our systems by further developing our capabilities to package new and enriched content. You will drive ongoing capability growth through the development and uptake of a diverse set of tools enabled through certification/learning programs, team self-sufficiency and by leveraging an SME network throughout the company. As part of a small, specialist team, you will help lead these activities across the entire Data and Content Organization with a focus on realizing business value through improvement of processes and development of analytic intellectual property.
The Role: You will be responsible for creatively leveraging our divisional partners and SPGI Data, Technology, and Innovation (DTI) for Data as a Service (DaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS). You will be also be a subject matter expert on SPGI Data Operations as a Service (DOaaS) . You will have a working knowledge of multiple business intelligence (BI) tools (i.e. MicroStrategy, Plotly, Qlik, Tableau), including views on comparison of tools for various reporting and visualization purposes. You will also be familiar with big data technology and evolving means for leveraging our data lake. You will create strong working relationships with visualization and reporting experts in the Data and Content Management teams and support pillar heads in driving business value by leveraging expanded capabilities. As a professional on the Enablement team, your role is to be an expert at understanding cross-functional business objectives and analytics needs and combining that with your understanding of S&P Global Rating's data, BI assets and BI & Mapping capabilities. You will be a strategist, a product evangelist and an implementation specialist. We are looking for somebody to join our organization who possesses a mix of business and data expertise with the desire to flex their analytical mind. We expect you to partner with BI Analysts and Development teams to deliver new / enhance existing BI solutions across the BI capabilities portfolio to aid various teams in drawing insight from our data - to be used cross-functionally. Encourage uptake of business tools by various Ratings Data and Content Org. pillars and understand functional need for technology improvements
Speaking with senior business stakeholders, management, and automation experts and technologists to understand needs of organization amid landscape of new technologies and skill sets
Strong communication, ability to liaise virtually with stakeholders in global offices
1-2 years of relevant work experience in the Business Transformation / Automation space
1-2 years' experience in Lean process mapping
Hands-on ability to build quick prototypes / visuals to assist with high level product concepts and capabilities
Excellent aptitude for learning, experimenting and picking up new technologies quickly
Ability to work in a cross functional, multi geography teams displaying cultural sensitivity and championing diversity & inclusion
You will liaise directly with S&P Global's Data, Technology, and Innovation (DTI) team, and have a deep knowledge of Data Operations as a Service (DOaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS)
