An opportunity to join our Energy Trading team in a Structuring role.
We are looking for an Analyst/Associate to focus on structuring of client hedging and portfolio optimisation transactions, including the valuation of assets and OTC derivatives, as well as providing quantitative support for risk analysis and management.
Working alongside the Trading and Origination teams, there will also be the opportunity for client interaction on complex structured transactions.
You will partner with the Trading and Market Risk teams on the approach to risk management of complex or illiquid risks arising from new transactions and with Quant and I.T. teams on the development of valuation models and pricing tools.
We are offering the opportunity to liaise with stakeholders across the bank to provide "origination-to-execution" support (especially quantitative) on structured transactions.
We are seeking a candidate with a quantitative background and an understanding of the principles of complex derivation valuation in Energy markets, including the limitations of theoretical models in pricing real-world transactions which often involve difficult-to-hedge risks in illiquid markets. In-depth knowledge of market risk principals is also required.
It's likely you will have a Masters, or above, in a quantitative finance discipline.
Knowledge of energy markets, statistical analysis and trading platforms (preferably MTS) would be a distinct advantage.
If you're looking to join a dynamic team, focused on developing increasingly sophisticated products, then please apply now.
