Corporate and Investment Banking provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking products and services, including cash management services, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans and foreign exchange. As a core member of the Cash Product team and reporting to the Cash Product Head, this role has two primary responsibilities:
Product Management of the Liquidity Management (LM) product suite, including product development and commercialization, market management and strategy, P&L management, risk & controls, and sales deal support including preferential pricing & T&C negotiation and approval
Regional LM Solutioning Advisory: be the LM expert and advisory partner to help Sales/RMs to structure regional liquidity solutions, join client meetings and educate clients on best-in-class solutions, and speak at events.
1. Product Management of the Liquidity Management product suite
Responsible for P&L of LM product portfolio.
Develop and communicate product strategy, road-map prioritization, P&L management, revenue and cost analysis to drive revenue and profitability
Responsible for execution of Liquidity Management strategy, aligning with Group LM Product Team, to increase acquisition of new customers and grow market share
Accountable for developing marketing collateral and initiatives as well as analytical tools for Liquidity Management business
Partner closely with our Corporate Banking Technology and Operations Team to execute new product development and enhancement initiatives
Manage LM product issues and drive resolution
Manage LM product T&C negotiation with clients, in partnership with Legal and Sales/RM.
Set LM product pricing strategy and positioning. Review and resolve preferential pricing requests.
Work with product partners and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery, successful commercialization and implementation of our products and services, including end-to-end processes, documentation, sales and marketing materials.
Conduct User Acceptance Tests, Live Verification, ensure completeness and integrity of final delivered solutions
Undertake competitor analysis to understand market landscape and establish strategy for positioning of the LM product suite
Ensure clear understanding of LM product capabilities across various customer touch-points, including relationship managers, sales, and client management though proactive communication programs
2. Regional LM Solutioning Advisory
Drive the commercialization of LM capabilities in Hong Kong; partner Sales and RMs in pitching to clients and ensuring the right solutions are structured for client needs. These may include regional Asia cash pools to be implemented in DBS Hong Kong, including non-resident entities or cross-border structures, or where the client's regional decision makers are based in Hong Kong.
Educate clients on best-in-class solutions while speaking their language.
Foster collaboration with Sales, Implementation and Relationship management teams on large, complex client engagements and to drive product commercialization, resulting in winning client LM mandates
Subject matter expert for LM product knowledge. Keep abreast of current and evolving regulations and market environment. Competent on local and international LM and commercial practices
Lead and LM specialist consultant to GTS Sales and IBG Coverage Teams to accelerate client engagement and increase deal conversion rates
Act as LM representative in GTS Marketing activities and client events, as required
University degree with 7+ years' experience in Liquidity Management product and to provide LM solutions.
Solid knowledge in Asia regulations in market development of LM structures (particularly China)
Knowledge in POBO/ROBO and Hong Kong CTC incentives are preferred
Strong communication, relationship & people skills to build relationships with key stakeholders and influence stakeholders
Able to speak the corporate treasury client's language and terminology and to provide expert advice on product strategy and solutions
Experience in a Treasury role for a Corporate would be a plus
Ability to analyse data and identify patterns and trends
Positive 'can-do' attitude and self-starter.
Excellent command of written and spoken English. Cantonese and Mandarin language skills would be a plus
