TIAA-CREF Trust Company, FSB (TIAA-FSB) has an immediate opportunity for a Credit Risk Model Analyst. This position will be responsible for developing and managing product level risk reporting and analytics used to manage the credit risk across loan portfolios. Responsibilities will include:
Develop and maintain regularly scheduled credit risk reporting for use by bank management, parent organization, board committee and external organizations.
Develop detailed analysis utilizing sophisticated analytical, financial modeling and statistical techniques to predict and evaluate risk in the loan portfolios.
Perform modeling related to credit risk factors that affect portfolio performance such as delinquency, loss frequency and loss severity.
Collaborate with business partners across the enterprise to balance new business volume while controlling losses.
Responsible for analyzing and effectively communicating results to management (verbally and presentation).
Support scorecard development and ongoing modeling validation.
Maintain and update as necessary the current data collection methods generally using Base SAS, SAS Enterprise Miner or other modeling software, Excel, Access, Adobe Acrobat, and PowerPoint files.
Advanced degree in quantitative study such as Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or Economics
3+ years of Banking and/or Risk Management experience
Proficient with Base SAS
5+ years of Banking and/or Risk Management experience, with emphasis on Retail Lending, and consumer product portfolios preferred.
Proven ability to spot trends, develops strategies, and communicates level of risk.
Demonstrated knowledge of credit risk models to include validation process and procedures.
Under minimal supervision, performs complex work assignments and problem resolution.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions, businesses, divisions, and levels of management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Outstanding organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to meet tight deadlines.
Detailed orientated showing work commitment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
