Working with our Credit Assurance function, undertaking independent second line evaluation of adequacy and effectiveness of the credit risk management, you will play a critical role where you will focus on:
Support the Executive Manager to develop, coordinate and deliver assurance across credit related Regulatory obligations by conducting a series of annual, targeted and continuous reviews of internal controls, key processes, risk management practices and management action plans
Identify and document any areas of Control weaknesses ensuring appropriate management actions are developed and implemented in a timely manner
Provide specialist input to First- and Second-Line teams on matters related to the practical application of Regulatory requirements relating to Credit risk
Deliver succinct reporting of assurance outcomes
Prepare and facilitate workshops on Assurance insights
Collaborate with other teams to ensure the broader assurance program is delivered in a professional, coordinated and efficient manner.

What do I need?
The role would suit someone with a background in assurance, risk & compliance, quality assurance, process optimisation and agile project management, with the following skills, experience, education and/or expertise:
Demonstrated understanding of key Credit related regulatory obligations (APS 112, 113, 220 and 221, Responsible Lending, CoBP)
Strong understanding of the end to end Credit Risk management process, with previous underwriting/approval authority experience across Retail and/or Commercial Bank segments
Experience in control testing and root cause analysis
Minimum of 7 years Financial Service and/or Assurance experience
Demonstrated commercial acumen
Extensive stakeholder management and influence experience
Tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline and/or relevant industry or professional experience
A strong understanding of the Australian banking and the current regulatory environment
Technical aptitudes in data analytics and control automation. This includes the ability to analyse large datasets using SAS/SQL/Tableau or other data visualisation tools
